Four years ago, EYE introduced a 1000 Watt High Pressure Sodium lamp to the market that delivered higher lumen output and enhanced blue spectrums without losing the HPS signature colors. It is designed to produce a higher PAR output (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) in the blue, green, red, and orange spectrums, which in turn promotes vigorous plant growth. A lamp's ability to render light is measured by the Color Rendering Index, a higher CRI rating means better color. HORTILUX rates six points higher than the standard LU1000, 28 vs. 22. The Hortilux grow lamp provides 17% more available energy for plant growth than the standard high pressure sodium lamp. It also produces 25% more energy in the violet, blue and green spectrum than the standard high pressure sodium lamp.<br /><br />Works with Harvest Pro, SS10 and Galaxy 1000w ballasts.
